“Lookback” is Liquidink’s annual retrospective, a digital time capsule of moments, people, and projects that shaped the studio’s year. It transforms reflection into interaction, allowing visitors to relive the studio’s journey through sound and narrative.
Studio Mesmer partnered with Liquidink to develop the Lookback experience, translating a rich creative vision into a seamless, high-performance digital format within the main Liquidink website.
A significant focus of the development effort was bringing motion and interaction to life. Scroll-based transitions, animated sections, and contextual reveals were carefully implemented to maintain narrative pacing. Elements appear, evolve, and exit in rhythm with the scroll, creating a sense of progression rather than passive consumption. Audio interactions were integrated thoughtfully, adding depth without overwhelming the experience.
